The Thrill of a Trip to Enderby – Water Sports at Its Best
If you are planning a vacation road trip from Vancouver to Enderby, here is a sample itinerary to help you get started. This is one of the most northern towns in all of Canada. The railway line runs through the center of the town and the Pacific rail line is also quite useful for travelers that are passing through on their way to the Arctic.
There are three ways to get to Enderby: By Taking a train from Vancouver and traveling south several days; By taking a road trip from Victoria BC heading towards Vancouver; Or by driving a rented vehicle to the town and staying for about one hour and then leaving at either Botanical or Port Angeles stations. To get to the resort, you would want to take a train and head south. If taking a road trip, you want to make sure you stay for about one hour and then head back to either Botanical or Port Angeles stations. In the case of a road trip, it is much easier to make connections between the stops since you will typically see more of the countryside.
Upon arriving in Enderby, the first thing you will need to do is check out the location. This is actually a very quaint town with lots of nature to see. First, you want to get to the marina so you can pick up your boat, bike or car keys (if you brought them) and load them up. It is actually a good idea to bring food and refreshments since the shops are closed during the winter. You will find plenty of places to eat, especially if you choose to stay for about one hour and then head back to either Botanical or Port Angeles stations.
When you arrive at the marina, you will want to grab your boating gear and get set to go for some fun in the water. You can either camp by the shore or get in your car and drive down to where you would like to stay. If you are planning on staying at the campground, then you will need to get a camping permit. This can be done online or at the marina. Just make sure that you get there early so that you can sign in and pay. You don’t want to pay an extra fee just to be late picking up your permit, so it would be better to plan ahead.

Once you have arrived at your campsite, it is time to start enjoying yourself. There are plenty of hiking trails, boat trips, swimming, and tennis courts to enjoy during the day while you enjoy some good fishing at night. The area is known for its trout and bass fishing and it would be a great idea to take a few casts during your time out at the lake. If you like boating, then it wouldn’t hurt to take some lessons from one of the local fishermen or even try out one of their boats.
As the weather starts to turn nice, then you can get out on to the waters and try out a bit of kayaking. Or, if you prefer, you can just sit on the shore and let nature take its course. The water at Enderby Lake has a low temperature, which is perfect for boating. You can even sit out on the boat and enjoy watching the wildlife that comes into the area during these cool spring months. After spending the morning fishing, there should not be anything else on your mind but relaxation as you drift away on your lazy, silvery boat across the lake.
